The Gospel of the Serpent: Exposing the Once Saved Always Saved Abomination
The doctrine of “Once Saved Always Saved” (OSAS) is a theological abomination. It is the hiss of the serpent in Eden: “You will not surely die.” It is the voice of wolves in sheep’s clothing, flattering the flock with promises of eternal security while leading them into ruin. It is the gleam of whitewashed tombs, polished with slogans of grace, but filled with bones and rot. And those who defend it are a brood of vipers, slithering in pulpits, poisoning the flock with venomous lies.
OSAS seduces by offering salvation without perseverance, inheritance without obedience, and eternal life without holiness. It thrives because it flatters the flesh:
It tells the sinner: “Your rebellion cannot sever you from salvation.”
It tells the apostate: “Your denial of Christ cannot erase your name from the book of life.”
It tells the lawless: “Your deeds do not matter, for grace covers all.”
This is not assurance—it is presumption. This is not grace—it is a perversion of grace into license. This is not security—it is a false refuge built on sand. And those who preach it are a brood of vipers, whispering peace where there is no peace.
The OSAS abomination survives only by silencing the warnings of Scripture:
Hebrews 6:4–6 declares that those who “have tasted the heavenly gift” and then fall away cannot be renewed to repentance. OSAS denies this.
Revelation 3:5 promises that “he who overcomes” will not have his name erased from the book of life. OSAS mocks this.
1 Corinthians 9:27 shows Paul disciplining his body “lest after preaching to others, I myself should be disqualified.” OSAS scoffs at this.
Romans 8:13 warns: “If you live according to the flesh, you will die.” OSAS contradicts this.
Every warning is silenced. Every exhortation is neutered. Every call to endurance is mocked. OSAS is not the gospel of Christ—it is the gospel of the serpent, defended by a brood of vipers.
Ezekiel 13:10–16 exposes the heart of this deception. The Lord condemns false prophets who “lead my people astray, saying, ‘Peace,’ when there is no peace.” They build a flimsy wall and cover it with whitewash, hiding its weakness. But God declares He will send a storm, hailstones, and a raging wind to tear it down. The wall will collapse, its foundations exposed, and the false prophets will be shamed for their deception.
So it is with OSAS. It is the whitewashed wall of our age. Its defenders plaster over the cracks of rebellion with the paint of false assurance. They cry “Peace, peace” when there is no peace. They daub whitewash over the warnings of Scripture, promising eternal security while the foundation beneath is rotten.
OSAS is the wall built of sand, covered with the paint of presumption.
Its preachers are the brood of vipers, smearing whitewash over ruin.
Its promises are soothing words of peace, but the storm of judgment will expose them as lies.
The Lord Himself declares that He will send the storm, the hail, and the consuming wind. The wall of OSAS will collapse, its foundations exposed, and its builders disgraced. The whitewash will be stripped away, and the brood of vipers who smeared it will be revealed as deceivers.
Thus Ezekiel’s vision becomes the prophetic mirror of our day: “Once Saved Always Saved” is the whitewashed wall, and its collapse is certain. The storm is coming, the fire is near, and the lie will not stand.
Woe to those who preach salvation without perseverance.
Woe to those who silence the warnings of Scripture and replace them with soothing lies.
Woe to those who declare peace where there is no peace, who promise eternal life to those who walk in rebellion.
This doctrine is the theology of Balaam, the seduction of Jezebel, the intoxication of Babylon. It uses persuasive rhetoric. It provides undeserved assurance. Its doctrinal error is spiritually damaging. And its defenders are a brood of vipers, gnashing their teeth against truth, yet destined for the fire.
Like a volcano rumbling beneath the surface, history itself erupts against OSAS. The Church Fathers, the Reformers, and the martyrs all proclaimed endurance, obedience, and holiness as the path to life.
Ignatius of Antioch warned: “Only he who endures to the end shall be saved.”
Tertullian declared: “It is not a once-for-all faith, but a persevering faith that saves.”
Even Luther insisted that faith must be living, active, and fruitful—or it is dead.
The martyrs sealed their testimony with blood, proving salvation is not a cheap transaction but a costly allegiance.
History exposes OSAS as a modern counterfeit, a doctrine birthed not from Scripture but from the desire for comfort without cost. Its defenders are a brood of vipers, gnawing at the roots of truth while history testifies against them.
The gospel of Christ is not a one-time transaction—it is a lifelong allegiance, a daily cross, a warfare of faith. Salvation is promised to those who endure to the end (Matthew 24:13), who keep themselves in the love of God (Jude 21), who walk not after the flesh but after the Spirit (Romans 8:13).
The true gospel demands vigilance, obedience, and holiness. It calls believers to fight the good fight, to finish the race, to keep the faith. It does not flatter the flesh—it crucifies it. It does not promise escape—it promises victory through endurance.
Therefore let every believer reject the OSAS counterfeit with holy fury. Let them cast down the idol of false security and return to the gospel that demands endurance, obedience, and holiness.
For the day is near when every false assurance will be shattered, every soothing lie silenced, every wolf unmasked, every whitewashed tomb broken open, and Babylon herself consumed in the fire of His appearing.
The doctrine of “Once Saved Always Saved” is not assurance—it is abomination. It is not gospel—it is poison. It is not security—it is the serpent’s hiss. And its defenders are a brood of vipers, condemned already, awaiting the fire that will consume every false word when Christ returns in blazing majesty.
